 Terms of Use

These terms of use apply to the SafeSweep: Phone Cleaner app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by BD Developer Squad (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service, supported by advertising. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree with any part of them, you should not use the Application and should uninstall it.

These terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy of the Application, which forms part of them.

Licence

The Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Application on devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:

- copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Application;

- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Application, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;

- rent, lease, sell, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise transfer the Application to any third party;

- remove, obscure, or alter any notice of copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right contained in the Application;

- use the Application to access, alter, or delete data that you do not own or do not have permission to handle;

- use the Application for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that interferes with its normal operation or with any device or network.

The Application, and all intellectual property rights in it, remain the property of the Service Provider. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

What the Application Does

The Application is a device maintenance tool that runs on your device. It helps you find and remove duplicate, similar, blurry, large, screenshot, and messaging-app media; compress photos and videos; review contacts; review installed apps; review device security and battery information; hide selected media behind a PIN; and play a low-frequency tone intended to eject trapped water from your device's speaker.

The Application does not require an account, does not upload your content, and performs its work on your device. Please see the Privacy Policy for details.

Your Responsibility for Deletion and Data Loss

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

The Application is a tool that acts on your instructions. You decide which photos, videos, files, or contacts to select, and you confirm every removal. On modern Android versions the operating system asks you to confirm again before media is removed.

Deletion is permanent. Once a photo, video, file, or contact has been deleted, the Service Provider cannot recover it, and in most cases neither can you. Items placed in the Application's Trash Bin or Keep List are review lists only and do not constitute a backup.

The features that identify duplicate, similar, or blurry photos, and the feature that suggests the best shot in a set, use automated analysis. That analysis is a suggestion, not a judgement about which of your photos matter to you. It may group photos you consider different, or fail to group photos you consider the same. You are responsible for reviewing any selection before confirming a removal.

You are strongly advised to keep an independent backup of anything you cannot afford to lose before using any removal feature.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for any loss of photos, videos, files, contacts, or other data arising from your use of the Application.

The Vault

The Vault feature encrypts selected photos and videos and stores them in the Application's private storage on your device, protected by a PIN that you choose.

By using the Vault you acknowledge and accept the following:

- The PIN is not stored in readable form and is not sent anywhere. If you forget it, the contents of the Vault cannot be recovered by the Service Provider or by anyone else.

- Vault contents live only on the device that created them. They are excluded from automatic cloud backup and cannot be opened on another device.

- Uninstalling the Application, or clearing its data from your device's system settings, permanently deletes everything in the Vault.

- Hiding a photo or video that has already been backed up to a cloud service does not remove the copy held by that service.

- The Vault is intended to keep private media out of your gallery and away from casual access. It is not represented as protection against a determined attacker with physical access to an unlocked device, nor against forensic examination.

Speaker Cleaner

The Speaker Cleaner feature plays a low-frequency tone at high volume, which moves the speaker diaphragm and may push trapped water out of the speaker port.

You acknowledge and accept the following:

- This feature is intended for water only. It cannot remove dust or debris, and it cannot repair a damaged speaker. No such claim is made.

- Results are not guaranteed. It may need to be run more than once, and it may not work at all depending on how much liquid is present and where.

- It is not a substitute for professional repair or for your device manufacturer's own guidance on liquid exposure. If your device has been exposed to liquid, you should follow the manufacturer's instructions.

- The tone plays at a high volume. Do not use headphones or any external audio device during a run. The Application stops a run if it detects that headphones are connected, but you remain responsible for your own hearing safety.

- You use this feature at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for any damage to your device, its speaker, or your hearing arising from its use.

App Cleaner, Security, and Battery Information

Android does not permit an ordinary application to clear another app's storage, force-stop an app, or uninstall an app on your behalf. Where the Application offers such an action, it simply opens the relevant system settings screen so that you can perform it yourself.

The security review, permission review, and battery information shown by the Application are informational only. They are based on what the device makes available to an ordinary application, and are provided as guidance rather than as a professional security assessment or a definitive statement about the condition of your device or its battery. Some checks are unavailable on some devices, and a result reported as safe does not guarantee that a device is secure.

Advertising

The Application is free and is supported by advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the Application you agree that advertisements may be displayed within it.

The Service Provider does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of advertisements, or for any product, service, or website reached through them. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser.

Where required by law, the Application shows a consent form before any personalized advertising is served. You can change your advertising consent choices at any time from Settings inside the Application.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that have their own terms and conditions. Below are the links to the terms and conditions of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Your use of the Application through Google Play is additionally subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

Internet Connection and Charges

The Application requires an internet connection only to load advertisements and the advertising consent form. All of its features work without one.

If you use the Application over a mobile data connection, the terms of your agreement with your mobile network provider still apply, and you may be charged by your provider for data used. If you are not the bill payer for the device, you are assumed to have permission from the bill payer to use the Application.

Updates and Availability

The Service Provider may update the Application from time to time, and may change, suspend, or discontinue it, or any of its features, at any time and without notice.

The Application is offered for the current versions of the Android operating system that it supports. Operating system requirements may change, and you agree to accept updates offered to you. The Service Provider does not promise that the Application will always be updated, will remain compatible with your device, or will remain available.

The Service Provider may terminate your licence to use the Application at any time if you breach these terms. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Application.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The Service Provider does not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, that its analysis will be accurate or complete, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, photos, videos, files, contacts, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Application, even if the Service Provider has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these terms of use from time to time for any reason. You will be notified of any changes by the updating of this page with the new terms of use. You are advised to consult this page regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

These terms of use are effective as of 2026-09-02

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh. This does not affect any right you may have, as a consumer, to rely on the mandatory law of the country in which you live.
